Why Residential Training, and how does it work?
The key to successful dog training is consistency. Residential training is for a minimum of two weeks, and for dogs with social or aggression issues, we suggest a minimum of three weeks. Our residential training programme is specifically designed for dogs aged 6 months and older, focusing on three integral stages:
1. Relationship Building
Our process begins by establishing a bond and relationship with each dog. Before diving into training, we take the time to understand your dog’s unique personality and needs.
2. Training
During the residential stay in our fully licensed kennels, your dog undergoes intensive training tailored to their individual requirements. Our experienced trainers provide the structure and guidance needed for training success.
3. Handover
At the completion of the training, we conduct a private handover session. This empowers you, as the owner, with the knowledge and confidence to continue training at home. We emphasise a seamless transition, ensuring you are well-equipped to maintain the progress achieved during the residential program. This usually takes between 30mins and 2hrs.
Throughout your dog’s stay, you’ll receive email updates on their progress every 3 to 4 days. Your allocated trainer will be your main point of contact, ensuring a seamless and informed experience.
On the back of all residential training programmes we offer a lifetime of free 1-to-1 sessions to support you and your dog in transitioning to long-lasting new behaviours and approaches.
